In commemoration of the National Hispanic Heritage month, VOA’s music program last weekend honored and paid tribute to legendary singer-songwriter, Freddy Fender, who recently passed away, by featuring his all time classic, “When the Next Teardrop Falls.” Freddy Fender, of Hispanic descent, was very popular in the 60’s and 70’s and 90’s. Many of his songs made it to the top of the charts and still ring in our ears even now, including “Wasted Days, Wasted Nights” and “Since I met You Baby.”
