A leader of the Hmong community along the road leading into Ban Huai Namkhao in Thailand's Phetchaboun province says more and more Hmong refugees are coming from Laos to join their relatives in the community, increasing their number to more than the officially registered 6,059 people.
The new comers live in hiding with their relatives for fear of being arrested and sent back to Laos. They said they left Laos because of persecution by the government.
