Lao Airlines will add 3 new flight routes to neighboring countries, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, with the objective to promote cultural and eco-tourism in Laos, especially to Luang Prabang city. Meanwhile, Laos' Tourism Organization has laid out a plan to develop its tourism industry for the next decade, aiming to increase revenues to U.S.$500 million a year by 2013.
Tourism officials say the new routes from Luang Prabang to Bangkok, Hanoi and Siem Riep will begin October 4th, October 29th, and October 30th.
