Deputy PM Bouasone Bouphavanh, in charge of overseeing Laos' Special Economic Zone project, dismissed two top project managers for incompetency, saying the project has not progressed as planned during the past four years.
The move, however, is being seen by observers as using power by someone who expects to be elected the next prime minister of Laos.
