Laos Today: Phetchaboun Hmong Leader Issues Another Appeal for Help to the US

Lao Hmongs in Thailand: The leader of the Hmong people who have been living along the road to Ban Houei Namkhao in Thailand's Phetchaboun province made another appeal for help to the US government.

Hmong leader Vang Xeng told VOA that there are 58 Hmong men in his community who were former CIA soldiers, and the rest of the more than 6 thousand Hmongs in his group are widows and children of CIA Hmong soldiers who died during the Indochina war.

He called on the US to take action regarding his people as soon as possible because they are in a dire situation, living in makeshift shelters along the road, suffering food, shortage and medical treatment, and living in virtual isolation because Thai citizens are forbidden to help them.
