Laos Today: Hmongs at Ban Houei Namkhao Ask for U.S. and U.N Help

The Hmongs refugees at Ban Houei Namkhao in Thailand's Phetchaboun province have appealed to the U.S. and the United Nations for help, protection and for permanent lands to make their livings, claiming that they helped the C.I.A. and fought along side U.S. troops during the Indochinese war in Laos.

They asked that they not be sent back to Laos and allowed to leave Thailand to resettle in third countries.
