Xeng Vang, the leader of the Hmong refugees living in Ban Huai Nam Khao in Thailand’s Phetchabun province says he has not yet heard from the group of 27 young Hmongs who were sent back to Laos late last year, and so does not khow their whereabouts.
Meanwhile, the 8 Hmong refugees arrested by Thai authorities around the same time last year are still being detained at a police station in Ban Huai Nam Khao.
In another development, the Thai Army has started to take census of the refugees in Ban Huai Nam Khao, although it is not known for what purpose.
