Lao officials report that the construction of Route 3 in the Bokeo area is 3 months behind schedule due to delay in the imports of needed heavy equipments.
Meanwhile, the construction of the segment of the road linking southern China to Luang Namtha province is 62% completed.
Nevertheless, officials expect Route 3, or the North-South Corridor linking China to Thailand, will be finished by the end of 2007 as scheduled.
