Provincial authorities in Laos are making preparations to get ready for the upcoming election of the 6th National Assembly, which has been moved up a year ahead of the planned schedule.
Lao officials had said the move was to make the national elections coincide with the 8th Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, which will open within two months.
