The villagers who have been evacuated from the Nam Theun 2 project site in Nakai, Khammouane province, say they are now happier and living in a much better condition than before, having been provided with utilities such as lights and water as well as other necessities.
But they still face the problems of food production, both for their own consumption and for commercial purpose, because agriculture there is at the mercy of the weather.
