To capture the festive atmosphere along the Mekong river in front of Wat Chanh this past weekend, the Saysamphanh Band of Montreal, Canada, returned to entertain our audience with their song "Ork Phansa Thee Vientiane," - the end of the Buddhist Lent in Vientiane - which was marked with the annual boat races, concerts and festivities.
Well-known artists of the former regime, Khamteum Sanouban and Manivanh Voravong, joined in with their duet "Phua Beu Mia Phai," per audience request
And Preeda Paramy, formerly of the 7-Ups, wrapped up the program with his "Missing Vientiane," also another audience request.
