Laos aims to fully develop its hydro-power energy and mining industries, as well as wood products and medicinal herbal crops, to be its main export merchandises to compete in the free markets of ASEAN’s.
The goal is to help reduce the loss of export revenues when Laos is required to bring all tarriffs down to no more than 5% in the year 2008.
