Laos says it has cleared over 6,500 hectares of land of UXO’s throughout the country and destroyed more than 600,000 unexploded ordnance since the UXO clearance program started in 1996.
However, there are still over two million tons of unexploded bombs left from the Vietnam War era, dropped by American warplanes.
