The ASEAN grouping and its three dialogue partners (ASEAN+3) have agreed to invite the leaders of India, Australia, and New Zealand to the first East Asia Summit to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in mid-December.
The first EAS will focus on formulating a strategy for regianal security.
