08/13/05 Troops Patrol Colombo After Killing of Sri Lanka's Foreign Minister


Sri Lanka imposed a state of emergency today (Saturday) following the killing of the country's foreign minister, a close adviser to the president.

Police in Indian Kashmir say suspected Islamic militants have raided a remote mountain village, killing at least five people and wounding nine others.
