ASEAN says it will need at least $44 millions more to implement the remaining 11 projects aimed at reducing development gaps between old and new members, and is requesting more donations and fundings from dialogue partners.
Laos' Deputy Foreign Minister Bounkeut Sangsomsack made the announcement on the first day of the 38th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting in Vientiane.
Ninety-two projects have either been implemented, under implemention, or have received fundings. The projects were determined and included in the Vientiane Action Plan that was approved by the 10th ASEAN Summit in Vientiane in November 2004.
