Living in makeshift shelters along rural roads in Phetchabun province, Thailand, more than 6,500 Hmongs from Laos face uncertain future after being evicted from their temporary homes, unwanted in Thailand and fearing persecution in their communist homeland if they are repatriated.
Mr. Pong Po Yang, a leader of the Hmongs in Phetchabun, talks to VOA about the plights of his people.
Thailand says it will table the issue in talks with Laos in Vientiane this week.
