Investing group in Nam Theun 2 power project announced that it was ready to start project construction in June to be completed by the year 2009, so that it could supply electricity to Thailand and also to parts of Laos.
Meanwhile, Chinese Sino-hydro Corporation has also started the feasibility study of the eighth Nam Ou hydropower project in Phongsaly province in northern Laos.
