The Asian Developmenta Bank says between 10 to 15 billion dollars will be needed for the development of economic infrastructures for the six countries of the Greater Mekong Sub-region in the next five years.
But since member nations all have their own budget constraints, it will be necessary to encourage private sector roles and mobilize funding from the business sector. In the case of Laos, the ADB says that communist country will need at least US$3 billions or $600 millions per year.
