Laos has sent a team of officials to Thailand to increase its ability to identify the nationality of and to register Lao workers in Thailand to ensure that they will receive full protections accorded by Thai labor laws.
Meanwhile, Amnesty International says workers from Laos, Burma, and Cambodia in Thailand receive lower wages than allowed by Thai laws.
