Iraqi police say at least 23 people were killed and 58 others wounded in two separate insurgent attacks today (Tuesday).

Iranian state media reports say a series of pre-dawn explosions rocked the eastern city of Zahedan, shattering widows and injuring at least two people. The reports say the city has been hit by three small explosions since late Monday.
