6/12/05 World News: French Journalist Freed In Iraq

French officials say a French journalist held hostage in Iraq for five months has been released along with her Iraqi driver. The French foreign ministry says Florence Aubenas, who worked for the French newspaper Liberation, was freed today (Sunday) and is expected to arrive in France later in the day.

Bomb attacks in southwestern Iran today (Sunday) killed at least five people and injured dozens of others, just five days before the Islamic republic's presidential election.

An Interior Ministry spokesman in Tehran says three bombs exploded near government buildings in Ahvaz, 550 kilometers southwest of the capital. Officials say police were trying to defuse a fourth device when it exploded.
