Laos To Plant Trees to Replace Lost Areas of Forests


Laos plans to plant trees on 20,000 hectares of land across the country on National Arbor Day, June 1, to make cup for lost areas of forests due to deforestation.

In a good news for motorists, the government has announced a decrease of up to 300 kips in fuel prices in the wake of lower crude oil prices in the world market.

Meanwhile, Lao Telecommunications reveals it has signed contracts worth nearly $10 million to purchase telecommnuincation equipments from the French company Alcatel.
