The Library of Congress Asian Division Friends Society held its second annual meeting April 30th, with Laos as the country of focus. Members of the Lao community in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area proudly presented their rich cultural heritage, displaying Lao handicrafts among other things.
Guests were treated to Lao classical dances, performed by students of the Lao-American Women Association of Washington, D.C. A Baci ceremony was also performed for the guests.
