Officials Concerned About Snakehead Fish Found in the Potomac River - 2004-08-03


Several snakeheads that have been caught in the Potomac River in the Washington, D.C. area. Wildlife officials are concerned and worried that they will threaten native fish and other water resources if they become established. Snakeheads, which Lao people call Pa Do, are freshwater fish native to Asia and parts of Africa. In Asia, they are considered a fine food.
