President Obama and his wife, Michelle, met with the families and some of the local first responders at the high school in Indian Springs.

Onlookers and a small group of protesters lined the route from the airport to the school.

U.S.-born Syed Rizwan Farook and his Pakistan-born wife Tashfeen Malik opened fire at the government resource center for developmentally disabled people in San Bernardino early this month leaving 14 dead and 22 others wounded.
