Egypt has temporarily reopened its border with Gaza to allow those stranded in Egypt to enter the Palestinian territory.
Officials say the crossing will be open on both sides on Sunday and Monday for the return of stranded travelers, medical patients and incoming humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
The Rafah crossing is the only access point to the Gaza Strip not controlled by Israel.
It has been closed since late October following a deadly attack that killed more than 30 Egyptian soldiers. The crossing briefly reopened at the end of November to allow some of the thousands of Palestinians stuck in Egypt to return home.
