Rescuers in central China paused to pay respects Sunday to 431 people who died when their tour boat capsized.
Chinese officials joined recovery teams for a traditional seventh day of mourning observance before resuming their search for 11 people still missing on the Yangtze River.

"Inside (the ship) the air (was so bad) you couldn't open your eyes, of course during the operation we tried to get the bodies out as quickly as possible so as to be able to preserve them in the best condition."
The ship's captain and chief engineer are among 14 people who survived the shipwreck in bad weather.The two are being questioned by police.
