Families of the hundreds of people killed at a school in Southern Russia began burying their dead today (Sunday), as further details emerged about lastweek's tragic confrontation between armed militants and Russian security forces. The casualty list from the siege and firefight at the school in Beslam continues to mount: 338 dead, including at least 155 children.

The foreign ministers of India and Pakistan have completed the first session of their two-day talks on the disputed Kashmir region and other bilateral issues. An Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman told reporters that today's talks in New Delhi were friendly, and the two sides are determined to make progress on finding answers to their long-standing differences.

Ministers of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and their counterparts from Japan, Chinaa and South Korea have agreed to begin free trade negotiations nest year.
